Fun From Day One. Dive into the PADI Open Water Diver course, the single most popular diving course in the world. Open Water Diver is the first level of PADI scuba certification, your ticket to exciting adventure in the underwater world. The course includes academics, skill practice in confined water and actual scuba diving in open water, all under the guidance of a PADI Instructor. Because it's performance based, you get as much time as you need to practice your new skills prior to certification.
Diver's are People Just Like You. Virtually anyone in good health who's reasonably fit and comfortable in the water can learn to scuba dive. Participants as young as ten may take the course, but other than that, there are few restrictions.
Earn College Credit. The PADI Open Water Diver course is recommended for college credit by the American Council on Education (ACE) and meets the educational standards for credit at the college level.
